Hands-on first
Every session starts and ends at the desk. You learn by cutting real shows, not by watching slides.
About us
upnewsra is a UK training team focused on live production decks and control rooms. We prepare new and working crew to run multi-camera television and streaming shows with confidence.

Most broadcast courses spend their time on theory and leave graduates with very little desk time. Working gallery crews told us the same thing again and again: the hardest part of live production is not the buttons, it is the pace, the communication and the judgement.
upnewsra was built to close that gap. Our courses put you in a real gallery environment early, give you clear roles, and repeat live runs until switching, calling and cueing feel natural.
Every session starts and ends at the desk. You learn by cutting real shows, not by watching slides.
Live television is unforgiving. We teach habits that keep you clear and accurate when things go wrong.
Six to eight trainees per course means regular turns in every gallery role, from vision mixer to director.
We follow real production rhythms: rehearsal, line-up, live and de-brief, so the habits transfer on day one.
Our approach
From the first morning, you are assigned a gallery role. You will rotate through vision mixing, directing, graphics, audio and technical operation so you understand how each seat supports the others.
Streaming and remote production sit alongside traditional television workflows, because most crews now move between both in the same week.
